Mobile laundry in London street

City street with women getting washing from van and putting it out to dry on line. Bomb damaged houses in the background. Submitted with caption 'Carysfoot Road North London N8 post bombing'. On the reverse 'No comfort, You'd expect anything Hitler sends to bring a lot of dirt. But these blitzed housewives soon get their belongings clean when the mobile laundry arrives. Mrs Rose Harper who has lived thirty-five years in this London street, hangs up the weekly washing.
