Writing to 'my darling Teddy' Dorothy gives Paul news from home and her difficulties in obtaining some goods including toilet paper and asks if Paul can obtain curry powder. She mentions new railway tracks being laid, a cannon being built and news from refugees from towns suffering from attacks. Dorothy gives news of friends including one whose nephew has been sent to Russia. She expresses her resignation to not seeing Paul for sometime and urges him to 'keep smiling'; signing off 'your loving little Mog'.
