Flight Lieutenant Keith Harris’ RAF Pilot’s Flying Log Book from 24 January 1942 to 28 January 1944, recording training and operations as a pilot. Also includes many technical documents including “Notes re compilation of logbooks”.
He was stationed at Woodley Aerodrome (No. 8 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School), RCAF Station Oshawa (No. 20 Elementary Flying Training School), RCAF Station Yorkton (No. 11 Service Flying Training School), RAF Perth (No. 3 Pre-Advanced Flying Unit (11 EFTS)), RAF Little Rissington and RAF Chipping Norton (No. 6 Pilots Advanced Flying Unit), RAF Chipping Warden and RAF Edgehill (1517 BAT Flight, 12 Operational Training Unit), RAF East Wretham (No.1678 Conversion Unit), RAF Little Snoring and RAF Witchford (No. 115 Squadron). Aircraft flown: Magister, Tiger Moth, Cessna Crane, Oxford, Wellington, Lancaster.
Records 2 night operations with 1678 CU and 19 night operations (plus 3 returned early) with 115 Squadron. Targets in Italy and Germany were: Cologne, Friesian Islands (mine laying), Turin, Berlin, Nuremburg, Munchen Gladbach, Mannheim, Munich, Hannover, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Brunswick, Magdeburg. First pilot for first two operations was Pilot Officer Eggleston.
Final entry 28 January 1944, reads “Operations Berlin - Missing”
