Max Caven’s Pilot’s Flying Log Book from 2nd March to 30th July 1945. During this period, he served as a pilot with 9 Squadron on operations.
From 29th June he undertook Tiger Force training.
Served at RAF Bardney.
Aircraft flown were Lancaster, Oxford.
He flew four day bombing operations with 9 Squadron. Targets were Essen, Dortmund, Nienburg and Farge. On this last bombing operation he dropped a Tallboy bomb. He also flew two Operation Exodus to Brussels and two Cook’s Tours over Germany. A total of 8 operations.
