Dear [circled] George’ [/circled]
Several of our ‘MINI REUNION’ friends including myself have joined the Southend F.E.P.O.W. Association as affiliated members, and we are so impressed with the work that is being done by them at the highest level, I want to bring you into the picture, and leave the matter in your hands. There is no compulsion to join of course, but! membership will entitle you to their publication several times a year, and it will keep you in touch with the progress of events as they happen.
Recently, I phoned their Chairman. Mr. W.C. Holtham, and he spoke to me for ages, and he is convinced of their dedication to the job in hand.
Since the news he imparted to me was rather lengthy, it would be difficult for me to update you, so I am enclosing a couple of their News Letters, I am also enclosing a membership and Claim form.
To me it’s fun, there’s nothing to lose, and the adds [sic] are terrific. and on a point of humour! come to think of it. Do you want your 1995 MINI in Wakayama or Ikuno?
My good wishes to you until my next letter in the early days of 1991.
