Description
Explains that a report had been received from the Missing, Research and Enquiry Service operating in Germany. Report was based on interrogation of locals and describes fate of son's aircraft which crashed and ammunition exploded. Explains five bodies were recovered, of whom two were identified and all fives were interned in Wesemunde-Oostemunde garrison cemetery marked as unknown airmen. Remains were reinterred in the Soltau British Military Cemetery. The enquiry service could find no trace of the other two crew members bodies.
