Sydney Fox’s Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book from 26th August 1942 until 28th July 1943. During this time he had trained as a flight engineer.

Trained at No. 4 School of Technical Training, followed by operational posting to 460 Squadron (Royal Australian Air Force).

The log book ends with “Death Presumed” stamp but with no date nor details.

Served at RAF St Athan, RAF Binbrook.

Aircraft flown were Halifax, Lancaster.

With 460 Squadron he undertook 1 mine laying and 17 bombing night operations. His targets were Turin, Mannheim, Kattegat, Munich, Essen, Berlin, Hamburg, Kiel, Dortmund.

His pilots were Pilot Officer Jackson, Wing Commander Dilworth, Squadron Leader Campling, Flight Lieutenant Grenfell, Flight Sergeant Giles, Flying Officer Johnson.
