Description

Flying log book for navigators, air bombers, air gunner and flight engineers covering the period from 27 May 1944 to 21 March 1945 detailing his flying training and operations flow as air gunner. He was stationed at RAF Pembrey (1 AGS), RAF Oakley and Westcott (11 OTU), RAF Hangar (1699 HCU), RAF Sheraton (5 LFS) and RAF Skellingthorpe (50 Squadron). Aircraft flown were Anton, Wellington, Halifax and Lancaster. He flew one night time operation with 50 Squadron with pilot Flight Sergeant A N Levy. After this entry is noted 'Death presumed RAF Central Depository 1946'. The target was the synthetic oil plant at Bremen, Bohlen.
