Served at RAF Bardney.

Aircraft flown were Botha, Lancaster.

Sergeant Welsh flew 9 night bombing operations with 9 Squadron. His targets were Mulheim, Gelsenkirchen, Cologne and Hamburg. His pilot for all his operations was Sergeant Mackenzie.
His aircraft was reported missing on his last operation to Hamburg on 2nd/3rd August 1943.
