He was stationed at RAF Yatesbury (No. 2 Signals School), RAF Castle Kennedy (No. 3 Air Gunnery School), RAF Honeybourne and RAF Long Marston (No. 24 Operational Training Unit), RAF St Eval (No. 10 OTU detachment - Coastal Command), RAF Rufforth (1663 Conversion Unit), RAF Melbourne (10 Squadron), RAF Kinloss (No.19 OTU) and RAF Dunkeswell (No. 11 Ferry Unit). Aircraft in which flown: Dominie, Proctor, Botha, Anson, Whitley, Halifax, Wellington, Lancaster.
Records 7 anti-submarine sweeps with No.10 OTU (Coastal Command), and 22 night operations (and 4 when returned early or duties not carried out) with 10 Squadron. Targets in Denmark, France and Germany were: Wuppertal, Dusseldorf, Le Creusot, Gelsenkirchen, Aachen, Montbeliard, Hamburg, Essen, Nuremberg, Montlucon, Minelaying (Danish Coast, Frisian Islands, Baltic, Bay of Biscay), Frankfurt, Leipzig, Berlin, Le Mans. Pilot on operations was Flying Officer Pennicott.
Also contains a newspaper cutting about the operation to Wuppertal 29 May 1943.
