Frank Pearson’s Flying Log Book from 16th June 1944 until 30th April 1953. During this time trained as an air gunner.
Trained at No. 1 Air Gunnery School, No. 85 Operational Training Unit, 1662 Heavy Conversion Unit. Posted to 626 Squadron in January 1945 for operations. In June 1945 posted to 189 Squadron.
Posted to Ground Controlled Approach Squadron in March 1948 as Safety Pilot.

Served at RAF Pembrey, RAF Husbands Bosworth, RAF Blyton, RAF Wickenby, RAF Bardney, RAF Watton, RAF Wyton, RAF Shawbury.

Aircraft flown were Anson, Wellington, Lancaster, Oxford, Proctor, Tiger Moth, Lincoln, Dominie.

With 626 Squadron he flew 19 bombing operations (9 day and 10 night), and 2 night minelaying operations. Targets were Dortmund, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Neuss, Mannheim, Cologne, Chemnitz, Dessau, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Misburg, Langendreer, Hannover, Paderborn, Kiel Harbour, Plauen, Heligoland, Bremen.

He also flew four Operation Manna to The Hague and Rotterdam and one Operation Exodus to Brussels. His pilot on all these operations was Flying Officer Warner.

He flew one Cook’s Tour and one Operation Dodge to Bari. His pilots were Flying Officer Warner and Flying officer Utting.
