Sergeant Brewer’s Royal Air Force Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book from 29th July 1942 until 28th April 1946. During this time trained as an air gunner and air bomber.
Trained in Canada at No. 8 Bombing and Gunnery School, No. 3 Air Observers School, before moving to No. 14 Operational Training Unit in England as an air bomber. Posted to 1660 Conversion Unit in April 1943. Operational posting to 9 Squadron in May 1943.
After completing his first operations tour posted as an air bomber instructor to Nos. 1 and 7 (Observers) Advanced Flying Units. In August 1944 attended Air Bombers Instructors’ Course.

Served at RCAF Lethbridge, RCAF Regina, RAF Cottesmore, RAF Saltby, RAF Swinderby, RAF Bardney, RAF Wigtown, RAF Bishops Court, RAF Manby.

Aircraft flown were Battle, Anson, Wellington I, Manchester, Lancaster I, Lancaster III, Wellington XIII.
Brewer completed 1 night bombing operation with 1660 Conversion Unit. The target was Pilsen and pilot was Flight Lieutenant Raphael.

With 9 Squadron he carried out 30 night bombing and 1 night minelaying operations. His pilot was Pilot Officer Livingstone. His targets were Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Essen, Bochum, Oberhausen, Cologne, Krefeld, Mulheim, Elberfeld, Gelsenkirchen, Turin, Hamburg, Mannheim, Milan, Peenemunde, Berlin, Hannover, Danzig, Kassel, Frankfurt, Leipzig.
