Aftermath
Title
Aftermath
Description
Discusses the aftermath of a crash involving Bomber Command Lancaster in Denmark. Frederik Körvel complaints about people constantly asking him for information. He discusses two airman who came down in the same area, one being injured. He also talks about his relationship with his daughter and a discussion they’d had about what they were dealing with, the war and what roles they were playing, both legal and illegal. Körvel highlights the dangers to those, like himself, who hid airmen and the issues in transporting them to evade capture.
Describes the sight of a plane being shot down. Körvel also describes the aftermath of an aircraft crash and the German’s reaction. It also includes sections from other people including Mrs. P. Agolin and Niels Hedager Sorenson. Includes a photo of Thomas Fairclough, helped by Korvel's family.
Page from a diary written in 1977 by Borge Rasmussen describing the grave of airmen who'd been shot down. This is followed by a poem about the events and the airmen's graves.
