Sergeant Gallop’s Royal Air Force Flying Log Book from 4th April 1941 until 6th February 1942. During this time trained as a wireless operator and air gunner. Trained at No. 2 Electrical and Wireless School, 15 Operational Training Unit. Posted to 103 Squadron for operations as an air gunner in October 1941.
Served at RAF Yatesbury, RAF Stormy Down, RAF Elsham Wolds.
Aircraft flown were Dominie, Whitley, Anson, Wellington.
Sergeant Gallop flew 8 night bombing operations with 103 Squadron. His targets were Ostend Docks, Emden Docks, Wilhelmshaven, Cuxhaven, Bremen, Brest, Munster.
His pilots were Squadron Leader Cross and Warrant Officer Fulbrook.
