George's supplementary notes, made on route, of his recollections of a nightmare journey. He comments on Germans panicking and prisoners preparing to evacuate the camp. He describes departure and the first day in detail and then goes on to tell of lack of food and poor billeting over the next 14 days. He was then taken by train in cattle wagons and describes the four-day journey.
