Description
Three Horsas in a field. The front two sections of two aircraft are detached from the rear sections, to aid unloading. One has a damaged starboard wing. Landing tracks and pieces of wreckage litter the field. Tracks lead from the open nose of one glider where a vehicle has been unloaded. Captioned '0017 P 16/NE 18 Sept 44 F/147// FARN'. Reverse printed 'A.M Crown Copyright Reserved', stamped '0122' and annotated 'Arnhem (Horsas)'.
