Title

Sie fuhren nach Engelland. Sie kehren nicht mehr heim
They went to England. They won’t return home

Description

There is a photograph of Lieutenant Otto Kretschmer, “the wolf of the Atlantic”, arriving at an English port as a prisoner of war. The OKW is asked to confirm the whereabouts of Günther Prien, said to be one of only three U-boat commanders Hitler awarded the Knight’s Cross with oak leaves. They have admitted that Joachim Schepke is dead and Otto Kretschmer is a prisoner of war.
