RAF Carlisle was a training station located 2 miles (3 kms) north of Carlisle in Cumbria.

The RAF took over the previous civilian airfield in 1936 and in 1938 RAF Carlisle (also known as RAF Kingstown) was home to two squadrons flying Battles. During the war the station was used by elementary flying training schools and an air observer school. Aircraft used included Tiger Moths, and Magisters. Post war the station became a Maintenance Unit and closed in 1996.
