Letter from Idwal Davies to his mother

Idwal writes he has been flying despite the heat. He had a pet tortoise but it escaped, then a chameleon. The chameleon is useful for catching flies. He has applied to Railway Air Service for a job but the Government took them over and sent his job application to BOAC, the national airline.
