Important note. Saint-Leu-d'Esserent is part of a broad V-weapons target area north of Paris attacked on multiple occasions in 1944. Target locations were geographically closely spaced resulting in designations that were sometimes used inconsistently or in a way that does not reflect contemporary usage; overlapping was also common. For a systematic search see also Creil, Trossy St Maximin and Thiverny.
