<text>[underlined] STALUG LUFT III. DEC 15TH. 1944 [underlined]
My dear Mum and Dad, Well Christmas weather is coming Even if the spirit isn’t! We have now had two falls of snow and the temp. is pretty low, however we hope to decorate the mess something after the style of last year. Mail has not been coming through very well, and the latest from Home, is [underlined] Mother’s of Oct 17T/H, [underlined] maybe it will get better just before Christmas, - I got quite a lot last year at that time. As well as studying Spanish I am now taking Calculus classes three times a week, and as Joy will be able to tell you, it is certainly good exercise for the brain. Yesterday I received some cigarettes from June Hill, I don’t know when they were sent, but if you Hear from Lev, would you pass on my thanks. At the Theatre, the “First Mrs Fraser” is now running for six days, until Sunday, this is followed by the Christmas Show “Fanfare” which will most likely start on Xmas eve, and run until New Years Eve. I will write a letter on the 25T/H (twenty fifth) and tell you about the show.
The Theatre is now fully booked up with shows until about May, but I don’t think we will be here long enough to see them all, infact [sic] all of us expect to be home by early in the New Year. I wonder if this will be the case? Little more to add, except that I am still pretty fit, but I don’t play games while we are on half Red + parcels. I hope you can send cigarettes again soon, - I am pretty short. Love to you all, John.</text>
