I enclose herewith the official letter conveying the Air Council's approval of your request to resign your commission in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
I should like to record my regret that you can no longer give of your time and energy, and to thank you for your valuable support of the Air Training Corps, to the Royal Air Force and to the country throughout your service as an Officer of the Training Branch. The splendid record of the Air Training Corps through the strenuous war years and the years which have followed has only been achieved through the loyal service so whole-heartedly given by its Officers.
