Dear Doris.
Thanks for your letter, dated 6th, but I have not received the thumb stall, believe the letter must have been [underlined] blown up [/underlined] by the I.R.A. at Euston, while being loaded onto the Birmingham train, didn’t you hear it on the wireless? Consequently none of us London fellows have had any mail for two or three days, so must have been the mail for this district.
Thanks for asking Arthur, I will make enquiries about getting extra petrol coupons, I believe us R.A.F. fellows are allowed more. The weather you are having at home is same as ours here, lousy, nearly all our snow & ice has disappeared having left us up to our ankles in water. Do hope your flat looks O.K., getting excited I bet?
I am looking forward to March 2nd but am also hoping to have a week-end before then, this coming week-end if we don’t have a

Well further news is scarce, like our pay, so must close now wishing you all the best. Love to mum, dad, Ralph & yourself.
