A second copy is annotated on the front '21 Aug 1941 Mr Harris Radio Cpl Strong Engineer Self co-pilot Navigator Wellington Aldergrove-Iceland-Gander-Montreal-USA'.
On the reverse 'This was our crew of the Vickers Wellington (Bomber) Z8771 on which I flew as Co-pilot and navigator - reading from L to R Mr Harris Radio Officer, Sgt Strong Engineer, Self. The photo was taken by F/Lt Donaldson, the Captain who flew Wellingtons on Operations - I had never flown Wellington but had to go as Co-pilot & Navigator as I was a specialist Navigator having completed a Specialist Astronomical Nav Course'.
