N. H. Briant Esq.,
Chester, W. R.

Dear Sir,

I wish to tender my resignation as clerk with British Railways. My services to terminate on the 31st. Dec. 1949.

No doubt you will be aware, since my appointment at Oakengates, I have been unable to obtain suitable accommodation for my family in this area. I have also made repeated applications to you for a transfer to a post nearer to my present home in Ludlow, but without result.

Seeing that you are not prepared to acknowledge my domestic difficulties, I have been forced to seek other employment in the Ludlow area. Fortunately without financial loss.

It will be appreciated, if you will please arrange to have all monies, including the refund of my Superannuation Fund subscriptions, and my three references and birth certificate, made available for me on the 31st. Dec. 1949.

Yours faithfully,
