Dear John, I recently learnt we leave our camp Friday. This news is quite sure! Only the officers and under-officers go, I’m not quite recovered from my illness, I don’t feel well. However. I certainly will come to-day at the wire, for I must see you before my departure. So I will get up, I will try to put warm clothes on and will come to the wire for some minutes at one o’clock.
With my best wishes
yours affectionately comrade in arms.
Iga
For to-morrow I will write a very long letter.
