Dear Mum, Dad, all, I am still keeping well, as I sincerely hope you all are at home. I am expecting to hear from you anytime now. Dont forget to write plenty will you. You will receive notification of my admission and Jims to caterpillar club, so please keep the letters etc. If you have received my shoes, you can send them along and a pair of bedroom slippers if you think it worth while. If you like I will remit you some money. Dont forget to send me some tobacco and pipe, in preference to cigarettes, apart from longer and more satifying [sic]smoke. it is good currency around here. I have winter underwear so dont bother about that. – Give all my friends my regards – Joe especially,

When you write dont put F/Sgt or RAF with my name otherwise all my mail goes to a near-by camp (RAF) Let me know how Stan is getting along, tell him that I wish him luck – “and expect to see him soon.” Well times up, So I will close. See you Soon. Love always.
