Dear Constable McNamara,
It is with regret that I have to inform you that owing to lack of news and any evidence of survival of your brother 80193 Flying Officer Lawrence Gerard Lyons McNamara, the Air Ministry have now officially presumed his death to have occurred on the night of the 17/18th December, 1942.
May I take this opportunity of once again expressing [missing word] most sincere sympathy in your great loss.
Yours sincerely.
