Dear Mrs Claydon

I was so very sorry to hear of your great loss. The knowledge that these things are inevitable and that they are coming, does not lessen the grief when

the separation comes – as I know to my great cost. Do please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

I waited to write until I had had Frank thoroughly examined by the school doctor.

You will like to know that he is

thoroughly sound but growing too fast, and the doctor recommends that you give him plenty of milk.

If you will send -/5 every Monday morning.

I will see that he has some in school morning & afternoon.

With kindest regards & best wishes for you

I am

Yours very sincerely
