AIRMAN’S DEATH
Late Sergt. A/G J. Law, Ashford
THE death occurred on operational duties in March of Sgt. Air Gunner John Law, R.A.F., son of Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Law, 66, Linden Road, Ashford.

Sgt. Law joined the R. A. F. in March 1943, after previously being employed at the Public Assistance Office in Ashford.
He was then a member of 305 Squadron. A.T.C., and was one of the founders of the Ashford Youth Club.
He attended Ashford Grammar School and was also an old member of the school Scout troop.
Facilities were granted for him to be buried at Ashford, and the funeral service at the Parish Church was conducted by the Rev. A.E.S. Karney. This was followed by interment in the New Cemetery.
THE MOURNERS
Amongst the mourners were: Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Law (father and mother), Mrs Baxter (sister), Flying Officer H. Fisher (representing R.A.F. Squadron); representatives of the 305 Squadron, A.T.C., the Ashford Grammar School Old Boys’ Association, and Ashford Youth Club; Mr Gilham (Public Assistance Office), and other relatives and friends.
