THE FOUR KORDITES

The latest aspirants to broadcasting honours are The Four Kordites, a close harmony team which last year enjoyed a successful season. The quartet, who have been together over a year, will be heard in a broadcast on the London and North Regionals from the Leeds studio next Thursday, in a programme entitled "Between Houses." The Four Kordites are to give three numbers, "Who," "Trees," and "Rag Time Cowboy Joe." Arrangements of the musical items by two of the boys, Jack Howarth and Ronald Taylor, are a feature of the programmes which the Four Kordites regularly give. The other members of the team are Granville Graham, who a short time ago won a crooning competition at Leigh Theatre Royal, and Ronald Hazeldene, an accomplished bass singer. They have appeared with Roy Turner and His Band of Wigan at the Odeon Cinema, Burnley, and at the King George's Hall, Blackburn, and are under contract to appear at the Gaumont, Wallasey, the New Victoria Cinema, Preston, and six Odeon cinemas.
