Official notification has been received by Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Bryan that their only son, Flying-Officer Charles Edward Bryan, reported missing on August 3rd, is

now believed to have lost his life as a result of air operations.

Flying-Officer Bryan is 22. He was educated at Birkenhead Institute, after which he was employed on the office staff of the fire department of the Norwich Union Insurance Co. He volunteered for the Air Force in February, 1942, and was attached to Bomber Command.
