Dear Mam and Dad,

Well I’m still getting on O.K. flying’s fine but ground school is a bore although I guess its got to be done.

I should have said flying [deleted] school [/deleted] was fine as we havn’t flown for a week owing to a blizzard but it stopped this morning – Sunday – so we may fly tomorrow.

I sent you three photos, in my last letter so you should have them now.

I will put a cutting, out of a book, of a Cessna in this letter so that our Sydney can show you one if ever he ever sees one.

We’ve [sic] are on 48 hours leave this week end but we can’t get any further than Brandon owing to the snow, everything is snowed up. Last week end I got 48 hrs. C.B. for not sweeping under my bed.

and we are the kids.

We have also started drilling again. We have not done any since we were in England but we can still show the Canadians a thing or two. As the Canadians do different drill to us so we drill each other. Last Wednesday I was drilling our flight; I was just shouting “About turn”! and I lost my voice – what a laugh – anyway I’ve got it back now.

I can’t think of anything else – I have not had a letter for a while now whats a matter with everybody? How are you going [indecipherable word] with “air raids” or don’t they come over now?

I guess that’s all

Your loving son

Lewis

P.S. You ask me to write to Aunt Clara, well I’ll try if I have time but I think they aught [sic] to write to me first?
