Dear Mam & Dad,

most of this camp moved to the embarkation port yesterday, Rogers & Rust went but Sayer, Tyler & I and a lot more were unlucky & will have to wait till next time probably in a fortnight so we’ve got to go back to Scarborough, we think until then.

When or if we get back to Scarboro, we are expecting to get another 7 days leave as we shall have nothing to do but wait till the next American convoy leaves.

I got your parcel yesterday

I wondered where the cap comforter (scarf) was and thanks for the cigs. 4-30 Just got to know that we are leaving for Scarborough at 6-0.

Well that’s all for now

Have you heard of my allowance yet?

Your loving son
