Dear Mrs. Pickford,
re: [underlined] 551653 Sergeant L. Pickford [//underlined]
We are delighted to receive information from the Air Ministry that your son has arrived safe in this country having escaped from a Prisoner of War camp in Italy. We would be glad if you would give him our very hearty congratulations and hope that he is in good health. We can well understand how proud and glad you must be.
We know you will not mind us asking you to return the coupons which were issued to you for a next of kin parcel, as we have to account for them to the Board of Trade. If you have already used any of them, will you fill in the Coupon Account in the usual way and return if possible the bills for the articles purchased.
Yours sincerely,
p.p. E.M. THORNTON BOK
Director.
