Dear Ma,
Being a week behind in our letters we are writting [sic] two together. If you can get one I want a cig making machine. I am still in Very good health and spirit and am with some good men. We are holding a sports meeting this afternoon as the weather is what you’d expect in sunny Italy. We pass our time Playing Cards Cricket having lectures and concerts. We may be moved again Very soon but carry on writting [sic] as your mail will follow me. Tell norman, Nellie and Winnie to write and I’ll answer in your letter which you can show them. Oh! can you send me a dairy [sic] allso [sic] for this and next year. Before you send any of these things make enquiries at a Red Cross office and they will advise you what to do. I think we can only receive so many Parcels. So far we have been living on Macaroni but we are changing to Rice and stew tomorrow, which we hope shall be better. I must Close now [deleted word] Wishing you the same Good Health and spirit I’m in.
Love
Leslie
