Dear Ma,

I’m sorry I’m late answering your last letter but we’ve been so busy chasing Ferry Shipping. Last tues we sunk two tankers and a destroyer in one day thats not bad. Jerry’s been worrying us a lot. We’ve been Machine-Gunned every day for the Past fortnight; It’s great fun.

I hope all is well at Home I wished I would come home to see stan but it’s been Impossible. Ill be home some time this month. This Means I’ll miss my Birthday again. Our Much talked of Raise in Pay Has’nt arrived yet But we’re Hoping.

I must Close now and Return to work.

Lots of Love
