Dear Madam,

A request has been received from your son to remit to you the sum of £50 from his credits. A cheque for that amount is being sent in a day or so, and it will be appreciated if you will inform your son that his wishes have been carried out, also please acknowledge receipt of cheque.
He also asks for statement of account and particulars regarding promotion. According to our records he was promoted Temporary Flight Sergeant on 1.4.41 and his rate of pay has been adjusted accordingly. Attached is a statement of account to 27.3.42, but now that £50 has been sent you, this amount of credit c/f will be reduced by that amount.
Yours faithfully,
