Dear Mrs Pickford
We have had a visit from a Boy, who was with our two Boys in Malta, and he tells me their Plane was hit in the Petrols [sic] Tank and came down over the Sea, the Weather and Sea was at the time exceedingly good [deleted] at the time, [/deleted] and there is every hope of them being saved, as there were ships in vicinity. If we hear or [indecipherable word] any more News we shall certainly let you know.
