Dear Ma, I’ve only received one letter this week and that was from London. Pleased to hear Reg. Frame is home. Last night I went to See a musical comedy called “Spring song for Jennifer” it was an excellent Show and was the Best received in the camp Our cricket team tied with the one Bill playsr [sic] in for the top of the league Each team loosing only one game out of nine. We had a Blood match to decide which should be called the champs, and Bill’s team beat us by Seventeen runs. The weather is all that is expected in sunny Italia, the only redeeming feature of our Stay here. Bill and I are in the Best of Health and spirits Hoping all at home are the same. Bill Has been in this camp twelve months now and we have been together all that time. Well space is getting short and the come and get it shout has just floated to our ears so cheerio for the present
