Dear Ma, Last week was the record mail week for this year. Having received two letters from you and two from Winnie. Stan is lucky to be in the sun which I crave for in this Place. Everything is so dull our minds are going Stagnent [sic]. Still; I hope to be working out soon with my mate Bill. Private Parcels arrived in camp during the week and we draw them tomorrow (Mon) I collect one fag Parcel and Bill Knight collects his first Clothing and a fag Parcel. Next letter I will enclose particulars. It has been Rather Stormy here during the week, but; it is bright enough just at Present. Did you send me those crayons I Requested if not send me some Paints in Place. Cheap ones will do. I am in good Health Hoping you, dad, and all at home are the same. Remember me to Stan and all. Tell Stan to look after Himself and be as Lucky as I was and all will go well with him Don’t worry. Your Loving Son Leslie.
