Dear Ma, I received 200 Rothmans and Half a Pound of Baccy from Flo Sharpe on Mon last. and a letter from her today Please convey my grateful Thanks. Also I have received this week one letter from you, one from Aunt Nell Finsbury, and one from Norman. Entertainments for the week are as follows. Gram and Records in our Room twice. Two compound soccer Matches. And last but certainly not least a three Act suburban comerdy [sic] “George and Margaret” which was excelently [sic] Put over by No 4 compound. The Heroin caused many Hearts to beat Rather Fast. Wally Gilbert has been detailed for working camp and will move in the emediate [sic] future. All is well here We have Parcels to last us some time The Weather is Glorious and mail is improving. I have just returned from Playing cricket for my Room the Game is not finnished [sic] yet so the Result cannot be entered Here. I Hope you are in the good Health I enjoy Love Leslie.
