Dear Ma, I have received only one letter this week and it was from Winnie with three snaps enclosed. Things are still normal here. Aurther [sic] George has settled down now but he is in a different compound to me. We see each other every day. The news of the last week is very Heartening to us. Have you received any money sent to you yet. Don't forget to inform me when you get it and How Much. [missing words] Although it gets colder each night the days are fairly warm. We had a little snow on the Mountain tops during the week. I am looking forward to some fag parcels soon as I have only had four all told. one from London, two from you and one from that unknown Lady. I am in the Best of Health and spirits and Hope you are also. We will soon be spending most of our time in Bed again
Your Loving Son
