[rubber stamped] TO AVOID DELAYS IN CENSORSHIP PLEASE WRITE SHORT AND CLEAR LETTERS [/rubber stamped]
Dear Ma,
The only mail I've had this week is one letter from you. I dislocated my finger yesterday Playing Basket Ball, but, except for the swelling and a little pain it is O.K again. We are having three Plays tonight by the Dramatic Club of our compound. You mentioned phoning Minnie in the last letter I received & hope she was’nt moaning too much. Winnie told me to watch out for Aurther [sic] George in her last letter. Can you enlarge on this. I don't understand. Is he missing. On what Date etc. Jack Kenny is still here with us but Freddy Southam went on working Party some time ago. You may be able to send us some news about his camp from news he sends home. We are interested in this as we get many contridictive [sic] Roomours [sic]. Please Remember me to all my Pals and folks at home. Did you get the information Re my Pay accounts from Air Ministry. I hope this letter finds you in the Same good Health and Spirits it leaves me in.
Your Loving Son
