Dear Ma,
I received a letter from you dated 22 Aug just as we were leaving Prato. I am at the new camp now and am settled again. The journey was bad it took us 24 hrs in the train with a 4 mile walk with our kit at the other end. This camp is more organized than any of the others so it will be all right. Just outside our Room some of the Men are Playing Basket Ball. We are having a concert tonight. All the hills around this camp are covered with Snow so you can guess how cold it is. I hope all at home are as well as I am. I received the Post Card you sent from Douglas last week and it was a surprise to hear you were over there. We are still aloud [sic] the same letter and card each week. I must Close now with All My Love
Your Loving Son
