IN MEMORY OF AIRMAN
A stained glass window at Holy Trinity Church, Launceston, was yesterday dedicated to the memory of Mr. Robert C. Turner, a former member of the church, who was killed in action during the war.
The dedication ceremony was performed by Archdeacon H.B. Atkinson.
Mr. Turner, who was the son of Mrs. and the late Mr A. Turner, of Launceston, was a rear-gunner in the R.A.A.F. He was killed in ac[missing letter]ion over Germany in December, 1943.
He took a keen interest in the [missing letter]ffairs of the church before he en[missing letter]isted.
Mr. Turner was employed by The Examiner.”
