Brief note that epitaph was a few lines in squadron operational record book. Geoff's kit was back at RAF Uxbridge where he started service. Photograph of the nose of a parked Lancaster with ground crew cleaning windscreen and front turret. Captioned 'Cleaning guns and Perspex on Pearson's Lancaster R 5666 - "F - Freddie" at Waddington. Flown by F.O. Mixhel, 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron's R5666 was one of the three lost on the Neinburg [Nienburg] raid - 17th December 1942'.
