Sat.

Dearest Johnny

Seems ages since I heard from you, must be a [sic] least a fortnight anyway. Did you ever receive the mascot – since you havent written, Im beginning to wonder.

Actually I beginning to worry about you and 21. Do hope you are all OK and that nothing has happened to you all.

Am just sitting in the rest room at the moment, outside there is

a beautiful mist hanging around. Honestly its just like a blanket and just as thick. Horrid weather everyone looks depressed.

Sometime next week a few of us are moving into a new house about a mile away from our old place. We got too many in the old hostel & we are the overflow. Anyway its a whizzo place – all nice small rooms & most of them have basins fitted in. Jeannie & I have a wee room together over the garage. Its very nice & we agree it has

distinct possibilities. As yet we are still cleaning the place out and getting it shipshape. Our room has a corner aspect – faces south & east – big windows & a wee basin in the corner. We’ll have to put in bags of working hours before it will be decent, but we’re looking forward to moving in.

Am still getting bags of dancing hours in – good show.

How are you and 21 getting on these days – is the old jalopy working still? Wonderful

if it is, because you boys will certainly give it a good beating.

Had a grand time on pass yesterday – next time we hope to go over to Jeannie’s relations at Dover. Good show?

Must toddle now and write to someone else – bags of unanswered mail to cope with.

My love to 21 & regards to Pop. Do write soon please.

All my love
