Two Liverpool-born airmen are included in R.A.F. awards announced last night. They are Acting Flight-Lieutenant Alan James Burnett R.A.F.V.R., aged 26, who gains a bar to his D.F.C., and Flying-Officer George D’Arcy, R.A.F.V.R., awarded the D.F.C. Aged 23, his home is at Liverpool, and [missing words]
The D.F.M. has been awarded to Flight-Sergeant Donald Arthur Gray, aged 22, of Hartford, Cheshire, who was born at Ainsdale.

NORTHERN recipients of R.A.F. awards include three officers who have gained bars to their D.F.C.s. They are:
Acting Squadron Leader R. Dixon, of Prees, Salop; Flight-Lieut. W. A. Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire; Flight-Lieut. A. T. Spencer, of Heaton Chapel, Stockport.
D.F.C. – Acting Squadron Leader C. W. C. Hamilton, of Prestwich. Lancs.; Flying-Officer J. E. Gibbs, D.F.M., born in Manchester, now living at Rhyl; Flying-Officer G. D’Arcy, of Liverpool; Flying-Officer J. P. Humphreys, of Fleetwood.
