Dear Don,

Just a few lines to let you know that I’m still tagging along with the crew. I’m all alone in the room, now that Dan’s commission has come through, but dont [sic] get any ideas. I had quite a good time in London, meeting old cobbers, getting full, and amusing myself at my newly-found game of “bag-baiting”.

For C’s sake hurry up and get back here, as the engineer we had a few days ago on a Y stooge, let the flaps up all at once, and I thought we’d had our time.

All these shocks aren’t doing me any good, so, hoping to see you soon,

cheerio,

[underlined] Col [/underlined]

P.S. How do you stack the cards with one arm in a sling? C.
